One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato More

This afternoon after I got home from work I was folding close in my bedroom and Allie was watching Max & Ruby (thanks to TiVo) and they were playing the one potato, two potato, etc game to pick who was going to be "it" during a game of freeze tag. Well when it went off Allie wanted to play One Potato, Two Potato with me. She was trying to say the words really fast so her words were running together in to some unrecognizable phrase but you could still know what she was trying to say. She had hand movements and everything.

While I work on Monday's the girls go to my friend Kimmer' house. She has twins as well, a boy & a girl. The girls talk about playing with Skyler and Hazel Grace. They really enjoy playing with them and Kimmer is so good with the girls. They seem to mind her better than they mind me. Thanks Kimmer for helping me out while I work for a few more weeks.

Tonight we had on April MOMC Meeting. We had a lady come and talk to us about planting in our flower beds. It inspired me to want to go purchase plants and fix up our flower beds. It will have to wait a few more weeks since we are going to my parents this weekend and I am having the MOMC New Mom brunch at our house on the 10th. I hope I can stay motivated till then.

Pillow Case Dress & Pants

Here are the Pillowcase Dresses that my Friend Allison taught me how to make. I made the pants from a shorts pattern and I added a strip of coordinating fabric to the bottom to make them into carpi's. I will try to put them on the girls and take a picture of them and post it later.

Jumpin' Jax & The Backyardigans

Saturday we had the MOMC (mothers of multiples club) Spring Fling at Jumpin' Jax. We also had 2 Backyardigans come: Uniqua and Pablo. Abby kept talking all week about them being at Jumpin' Jax and how I was going to take her picture with them. Well, when they got there she would not go near them. Allie kept going up to them and hugging them.

What is going on here??? Nothing much

I have not posted in a while so I thought, "what do I post? Nothing much is going on here." Well that is kinda true and not true at the same time. The Homebuilders Challenge is over (NCAA Basketball Tourny), I don't want to talk about it. We ended up coming in 4th I think. If my Tigers would have pulled it out, we might have won. I have to keep telling myself it is only a game. I have no idea where this major competitive streak I have developed has come from.

I did start working 3 days a week (till the end of June) at the Kidney Foundation. I worked there I think about 7 years ago. I have been at home for 3, I was at NORA's Home for 3 1/2 years, so that makes it over 7 years ago that I left. I a lot has not changed and a lot has, it is amazing how somethings just come back to you. I do have a whole new appreciation for working moms and I only work part time and not even all day on the days I do go in.

We are potty training. It is the worst thing EVER!! Abby will hold it till she gets a diaper on at naptime or bedtime. She tells me has to have a diaper and I will put on the potty and she sits there, I turn on water, and she sits there. Then when she gets up, she will pee in the floor. I have started making her help clean it up. Allie will tell me most of the time if she has to go if she is wearing big girl underwear. Of course we still have to change the underwear b/c she has pee-peed some in it. I think she holds it a lot of the time as well. My biggest fear is that they will be 4 and not potty trained. I don't them or me to be embarrassed by the fact that they are not potty trained. I am NOT being a lazy parent, they are very hard headed. Abby told me that she did not want to be a big girl, she wanted to stay a little girl and use diapers. What do you do???? I told her she could be my Little Big Girl. She is still my little girl but she gets to do all the things big girls do, including go to the potty and ride the carousel at the Mall and go to the Disney store. I have yet to find what will work for her. Allie likes chocolate, that seems to be working alright for now.

We have been making cupcakes all morning for the MOMC (mother of multiples club) Spring Fling at Jumpin' Jax (inflatable jumping place) on Saturday. The girls are sooo exited. Two Backyardgins are going to be there and they can not wait to see them. I hope to get some good pictures. Abby keeps telling me to take some pictures. I am having a bit of trouble keeping them out of the cupcakes so I pulled 2 out for them to eat after lunch. The original date was back in March but it snowed so we had to postpone till April. It should be fun on Saturday. I get to take the girls and all the stuff I have to take for the event without any help. Raymond is doing a mock jury that day at the U of M, he gets paid for this so I am not to upset about him going.

I guess that is it for now.

So Sad

Our Tigers lost last night in the championship game. And a very hard loss it was. But I am done with the sadness and depression. I am going to focus on the great things they did this year. The most wins by a team in a signal season, 38 wins!!! Getting to the championship game (only 2 teams got there). The magic these guys had on the court! Joey dunking the ball and CDR & Rose on a fast break. I have enjoyed watching this team play. In the words of Dicky V "They are awesome baby!!" We can always pray that CDR & Rose will return next year. Think of what it would be like if they did.....another trip to the Final Four...maybe another shot at the championship....We are Memphis....

Go Tigers Go!!

Go Tigers Go!! part 2

We are in the championship finals!!!!

I am interested in seeing where we stand in the Homebuilders Challenge, but I will have to wait seeing that Rachel, who is in charge of this, is in San Antonio for the Final Four games. That's ok, she is a Tiger fan.

Bunco Fun

Thursday night my friend Jennifer L. invited me to play Bunco with her and her bunco group. I have forgotten how much fun I have playing Bunco. I rolled 3 BIG Bunco's (rolling all 6's on the 3 dice). I won for the most big bunco's, one more than Jennifer W. (sorry Jennifer W)
Here is a picture of my prize. The prizes where made by Jennifer L. (clink here for her craft blog).
