I finally decided to read the applique book I bought online (www.youcanmakethis.com) to see if I really could applique with my machine. I have to admit I was VERY nervous about doing it. I did one practice piece on scarp fabric and then cut out and attached the Mickey heads to the shirts below. I think I did pretty good for my first time. they are to go with the Mickey pants I posted a week ago. The shirts are from Wal-Mart and the fabric is from Hobby Lobby.

Pouncer Pal's Walk Around 2009
Saturday was the Pouncer Pals Walk-A-Round at the football game. Can you guess who is not looking forward to it?
Abby kept begging me to take her to Uncle Keith in the stands. The band is too loud and she was scared she kept saying.
Bartlett Festival 2009
Friday night we went to the Annual Bartlett Festival. They have craft booths, carnival food and rides. The past 2 years they have had hot air balloon rides on Friday night but not this year. I guess all the rain made the field they set-up in to wet. We all had a great time. When we arrive I got the girls to sit down for one second at the entrance for a picture.

Trip #2 to the Big Back Yard
Wednesday we went back to the Big Back Yard with the Mothers of Multiples Club. The girls love this East Memphis gem. This week we went to feed the Koi fish before we left. Abby is already asking to go back. And we will :) It is free on Wednesday's after noon.

Mickey Pants & Santa Dress
I bought these dresses at a consignment sale this year. They had an initial on each dress, I was able to take the letters out and I placed the Santa on each dress. I plan to get the girls names placed on each dress.
Here are the Mickey pants I made for the girls. Abby was happy to try hers on but Allie was not, she said she was too busy to try hers on.

Children's Museum
Friday we went to the children's museum with Ainsley, Ammie and Cal.
Here is Allie and Ammie watching the train go by at the train stop.
They had face painting after lunch so off went to get the girls face painted. Abby got a lady bug painted on her arm. Allie and Ammie had butterfly's painted on their face.

Craft Box
Saturday my Friend Suzie and I went to the Germantown Festival and had a lot of fun. They have fun rides for the kids, lots of food and vendors selling handmade items and all sorts of craft items. At one booth we saw a fabric covered storage box and we both thought, "we can make that." And so we went to Hobby Lobby after we left the Germantown Festival and made our own box.
