Monday we went to the Pink Palace with my friend Jennifer. We both had signed up for the free 3 month membership and when she called and said hey, you want to go with us, I was like sure, let's go. They have a fossil exhibit, dinosaurs and a large section on Memphis history (which Raymond would really like).

Life at The Levee
Our church (Highland Church of Christ) is in the process of building a new building on Houston Levee. Sunday night we had a prayer service at the new "building". Part of the foundation has
been laid, the parking lot is down, the lake has water in it and some steel is up. It is exciting to see what has been completed since we were out at the property last. It is nice to see pictures at church but better to see it in person.
Abby told me today that when she has her wedding party she is going to have it at our new church building. I like that thought. Highland is where the girls will grow up and learn more about God and what it means to be a child of His. They will continue through the children's ministry and join the youth group, go a mission trips, paint houses during work camp and continue to make friends that I pray will last a life time.
Here are some pictures from tonight.

Camping
Abby has been wanting to go camping for quite a while. So we borrowed Randy & Ainsley's tent and Friday night was the night. So after dinner and a trip to Wal-Mart we came home and set the tent up. The girls went running in and out getting items for their camp out. Raymond came out with his pillows and the tent door was closed. In for the night. Not quite. First Allie comes in to go potty. Then Abby comes in crying that she is scared. I take her back out and go into the tent with her all the while trying to find out what is scarring her and trying to convince her to stay outside. No such luck. After a few minutes Raymond and I let her come in and sleep in her bed. Allie then comes in again to get her princess Dora toy and off she goes back outside and walks into the tent.
Did Allie make it all night? YES! She did not come in till 6:21am and looked at me and said, "I camped out all night." I am very proud of her.
Here are the girls playing in it Saturday morning.

Tiger Bookstore Find
Thursday I went and renewed our football season tickets at the U of M and since we (the girls and I) were so close we ran by Tiger Bookstore to see what deals I could find. Last year in July I found khaki pants for the girls for $5 each. This year I found....

Jessica & Bryan's Wedding
Saturday, July 4th was Jessica and Bryan's wedding. It was very elegant and beautiful
Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary
Friday we packed up and headed to St. Louis for my cousin Jessica's wedding. On our way I saw a billboard for Crown Ridge Winery and Tiger Sanctuary. It is in St. Genevieve, MO, which is one hour south of St. Louis and one hour north of The Cape. It is about 15 minutes off the interstate, out in the rolling hill country. We told the girls we were taking a side trip on our way to Aunt Ella's. The Sanctuary has 4 tigers and 1 lioness that they have rescued. They also have a restaurant and 3 lodge houses that over look the animals and the rolling hills. It was so peaceful there.
Abby asked about seeing where grape grew so we stopped by Cave Winery on our way back to the interstate to show her grape vines. She wanted to eat these grapes but Raymond told her they were for making wine not eating. She still wanted to try one so we let her, she did not like the taste of these grapes plus I don't think they were ripe either.

NKOTB Concert
Yes, I will admit it. I loved New Kids On The Block when I was a teenager. I had the posters, the T-shirts, buttons, even the NKOTB pillow case and more. Now that they are back together, I have to say, I wanted to see them in concert again. My friend Kelley won 5th row tickets to their show at Mud Island on Thursday night and took me with her! It was a blast!
