Baton Class

I signed Allie up for baton lessons at Burt Ferguson Community Center and Tuesday was her first time to go. Allie was so excited and seem to pick everything up rather quickly. Here are the only pictures I got and they are all of her marching with one of the instructors. Allie told me she wants to be a twirly girl at the football games and walk in a parade, maybe one day.

Sale Finds

Last weekend was the Spring/Summer Everything For Kids Sale that the MOM's Club sponsors. Here are a few of our finds, pink & purple Disney Princess scooters and a TV cabinet for the computer room that I will use to put my sewing and scrapbook items.

Silly Kitty

This is our cat licking Raymond's empty ice cream bowl.

Another Craft Box

I have made aother covered bin for the clothing sale this weekend. Abby has already said she wants it.

The past month or so I have not felt very creative or crafty. The other day I went to pick up a few things from Hobby Lobby and I guess I found some inspiration.

Easter Door Hanging: I bought the hanging basket and already had the grass and the eggs

Ribbon Rings: they have some at the Children's Museum of Memphis and I thought I can make that. The only issue was I could not find the size rings I wanted. So I used party favor bracelets from Hobby Lobby. I think they turned out ok. I was going to sell them in the Everything For Kids Sale this coming weekend but the girls took them and I don't think I will be able to do that right now.

New Beds

I have moved the girls out of their toddler beds into twin beds. I have had to rearrange most of the toys in their and move some of them out of their room.

Before I starting taking items out of their room.

Abby & Allie's new Room

Pretending to be asleep

Abby told me that she did not need her sleeping bag any more and that this bed is the best bed ever. Allie told us thank you tonight while we were putting them to bed. They were excited tonight when they went to bed.

They are growing up so fast.

This cartoon reminds me of what I use to ask my mom when I looked at her and daddy's wedding picture, "Were was I when you and daddy got married?" She would tell me that I was not there or even thought about at that time in their lives. I would always respond "yes, I was there, I was on the back row sitting in Keith's lap." Abby has asked me the same exact thing when she has sees our wedding pictures. I give her the same answer my mom gave me, "you were not there."

My mom tells me that she use to tell us kids (my brothers and I) that we did not have to come in and wake her and daddy up on Saturday mornings when we woke up, that we could just go and turn on the TV and watch our cartoons. She tells me we would get up, go into their room tell them we were up and that we were going to go watch cartoons. My girls do the same thing to me and Raymond, "mommy can I watch TV?" or "I have to go potty."

I was never allowed to have a pet growing up, not sure why, but I always wanted one. About 7 years ago our cat showed up on our patio, I fed her, she stayed, and became our pet. She is a part of our family and the girls love her as much as we do. My Aunt Ella & Uncle Al had a cat named George. I remember one summer when I was staying with Aunt Ella in St. Louis my bedroom door was cracked at bedtime and George came running into my room and ran under my bed, scared me to death. I liked cats but I was not around them enough to feel comfortable with them sleeping in the room with me. Plus George was not the nicest cat and I was in his room, I think he only loved Uncle Al. Anyway, If you would have told me that I would one day have a cat that sleeps right against my head every night I would have thought you were crazy. Kitty started sleeping there back in January when it was below zero for a week.

Allie is all drama all the time. If you ask my brothers, so was I growing up. I will admit that most times I played it to my advantage to try to get me what I wanted. I am just glad that they moved past it and don't hate me for all my drama.

Chick-fil-A Song

My friend Jennifer shared this with me and I want to share it with my friends. It is Tim Hawkins' Chick-fil-A Song. It is on YouTube and you should really check out Corporate Worship Songs and Things you don't say to your wife to name a few. To find out more about Tim Hawkins go to There are more videos on his website as well. He is absolutely hilarious and is coming to Bartlett in May!!

I know I have not posted in a while, there really has not been that much going on. We did go to the Children's Museum last Friday. They have a new bug exhibit and surprisingly Abby has asked to go back. Maybe it has something to do with the Ladybug portion of the exhibit.

This ladybug's name is Lucky. When we got home Abby informed me that her little ladybug toy was now named Lucky.
