Last few Days in the Pool

As September draws closer and the highs start to be only 90 instead of 98 we have talked about when we will drain our pool. It does not hurt that we did not run the filter for a week and it has some algae growing in it now. The water is cooler than it was in July as well. The girls got into the pool Thursday night and again this afternoon (after Raymond cleaned out the algae). Here are some of the pictures from our last few days in the pool.

Saturday Afternoon playing beach. We had to get rid of the sandbox, it grew algae as well and smelled really bad.

So cute!

Busted Lip -- Again

Yes, we have another busted lip. This one required a trip to the doctor's office. I was sweeping in the living room while the girls were playing in our room with their baby dolls. I hear a thump and a scream. I walk to see Allie holding her mouth and walking in circles on my bed (which has blood on it now). I pick her up and she moves her hand and blood is coming out of her hand and her mouth. I take her the kitchen and end up using 2 kitchen towels to try to stop the bleeding. I call the nurses line with Peds East and the poor nurse had to deal with me who could hardly hear due to the crying from Allie and Abby asking questions. The nurse said I could take Allie to the dentist and I can not believe I said the following "I don't a dentist" when I know of at least 4 that we go to church with!! She did set us to go Peds East in Germantown to see Dr. Bubba, who was great! I wish he came to the Bartlett office so we could see him all the time, but we do love Dr. Benaim as well. Anyway, Allie's lip is busted (no stitches, she would work them out if he put them in) and one of her front teeth is pushed up a little into the gum. But it should be ok. I was worried that she had pushed it up into her gums more than she did. She would not let me look at, at all. Anyway, her are the pictures I took when we got home. Per Dr. Bubba's orders :)

Fantasy Football Draft

I am having trouble moving my pictures around so the 1st 2 are out of order, sorry.

Getting started...

Before the draft. I think that the guys were a little nervous that we were still talking in the dining room and had not started when they did. We started after the guys and finished before them.

Girls Final Draft Board

Our group minus Jennifer W

Waiting on the guys to finish up with their picks.
I had a great time and I am looking forward to seeing if I picked anyone good. Here is my team as of right now. I need to start looking into who I will be starting.
Memphis Twins:
QB Tony Romo
RB Ryan Grant
RB Laurence Maroney
RB/WR Jamal Lewis
WR Marques Colston
WR Marvin Harrison
TE Dallas Clark
D/ST Giants
D/ST K Robbie Gould
BE Brandon Marshall
BE Chris Johnson
BE Jerricho Cotchery

I wanted to get my 2 favorite Tiger players but Rachel B and Ainsley took Stephen K and DeAngelo Williams before I could get to them. Maybe a trade will get me DeAngelo...

Here is the apron I made for the MUM gift basket for the MUM Vision Dinner that is Sept. 6th.

I need a good nights sleep

Well the sale is over and I can try to get back to normal for a while, whatever normal is. I have spend too many hours at the Agricenter since Wednesday night. My parents came to watch the girls Wednesday-Friday while I was there. They left Friday night when Raymond got home from work. Even though the sale is A LOT of hard work I truly enjoy spending time with those on the sale committee and getting to know them. They are such great ladies.

I think we did well with the sale. We are still working on the numbers for everything but it looks like we did well. I did find a few cute items. I got the girls these rolling princess backpacks that they love already (thanks Dawn) and some clothes for this fall and winter. I did not find as much for the girls as I normally do, so I guess I will get to buy more things new for this fall and winter. I did not buy one pair of shoes. I am going to go see a friend in Collierville in the next week or so to go thru her twin daughters clothes. I still have 2 more sales to visit during the fall clothing sale season, so we will see. I hope to get what did not sell together so I can get it in Highland's clothing sale this week. I need to retag about 20+ items in the next 24 hours......

Anyway, back to "normal" around here.

Oh yeah, Fantasy Football kicks off Friday night with our in-person draft at the Baker's. I am getting ready for football season. I will post my team this weekend!

Olympics

I love the summer Olympics! I love the gymnastics, swimming, and diving. I have even got my girls into wanting to watch them. Way to go USA Men last night. Yes, I stayed up way to late to watching them win the bronze metal. Looking forward to the ladies tonight. Abby ask to watch gymnastics this morning. I think I need to find a gymnastics class for them. While watching it the other night they started "playing gymnastics". They have also been playing swimming inside since it is cooler than normal for August. Hopefully tomorrow we be able to get into the pool. They will put their bathroom stools out in the middle of the floor and jump to the ground and swim on the floor. It is so cute. Today, I taught them that when they jump off the stool when playing gymnastics they have to stick their landing and hold their arms up for the judges. I gotta get a picture of this.

Paula Deen

Thursday night I went to the new Paula Deen Buffet in Tunica for dinner with some friends. I was so good! I ate sooo much!!! I did not eat again till after 12:30 on Friday. I look forward to going back. Here is a picture of me with Paula :)

Making a beach and straight lines

This is the beach the girls made with their sand on Wednesday.

Abby kept telling me they were making straight lines Thursday afternoon. This is what I found when I came out of the computer room. Guess I should have asked what they were making straight lines out of. I thought it was their pillows or toys bins. Not an entire roll of toilet paper!

God made markers

One day this week while I was sweeping the kitchen the girls were coloring with their markers in the dining room. They were talking about fish and the water, so I thought I would ask them who made all of those things. Abby told me God did. So I kept going with who made this and that. Abby looks at me and says, "God made markers" Guess he did.

Busted Lip

Allie's busted lip from Monday. She was sitting on the chair arm or trying to jump off the chair arm and hit the floor. Blood was all in her mouth when I picked her up. Poor baby! I sat her on the kitchen counter to get ice and she looked at my shirt where she had bled on me and said, "oh, your shirt."
When she finally stopped crying she looked at me and smiled and said "I stop crying now."
It looks worse today than the picture from yesterday.

What kind of car do you drive?

Abby might be able to tell you just by looking at your car. She knows I drive a Toyota and Raymond has a Nissan. She knows Honda and Raymond is teaching her Ford. She is so proud of herself for knowing this. She knows that Raymond's car came from the "parts store" what he has called the Nissan dealer where he has went a few times with her to get parts for his car. It is so cute to watch her tell you what type of car you have.

Funny Saying and new ways to waste my time

A few funny sayings from this weekend:

Allie, while looking for her baby doll, "Baby, where are you." She does this a lot when she is looking for her baby, and I am sure I have posted this before but it is sooo cute.

Abby, while we were at the Disney Store Friday night: The girls always go to the Play House Disney Section of the store and Abby plays with this Minnie Mouse vacuum cleaner, which we find interesting because she is very afraid of our vacuum at home. Anyway, I was the carrying 2 lunch boxes we were going to purchase (they were on sale and cheaper than the ones I just got at Target and these were tax free. the other 2 will be returned to Target today or Monday) and Abby looks at me and says, "we get this." I told her "No, we are getting the lunchboxes today." Without skipping a beat, she looks at me, "We can put those back and get this."

I have found a new way to waste my precious time. It is called Facebook. I have resisted it long enough. It has been fun getting back in touch with a few people from College and High School, to see where they are now and all that. I have decided I am going to limit my time there and on the Mommy Board I am on, both can eat up lots of time if I would let them.

I am getting ready for the fall clothing sale as well. I have pulled down all the clothes and washed them and while getting them on hangers, ran out. So off to Target or Dollar Tree I shall go in here in a few minutes to get more. I still have to go through all the girls toys to see what we can pass on. I always like the clothing sales and buying the girls "new" clothes. Our sale is Aug. 16th so I know I have a little bit of time, but it will be here before I know it and the girls are out of school so that will make tagging a little bit harder.

I am off to see what Allie is doing (Abby as well, she is very quite), then Target, and back home to swim.

This Week

We have been busy this week, I have been trying to catch up from being out of town and this was the girls last week of MDO. I am sure going to miss MDO in August, we don't go back till the Tuesday after Labor Day.

This is my wonderful find of the week. I went to Tiger Bookstore to get some ribbon and found these pants for my girls, ON SALE!!!

While the girls were at MDO today I went to a surprise party for my friend Anisley who turned 30 today! Happy Birthday Anisley! And thanks to her mom for putting it all together.

Today after school we went swimming, here are the girls eating Popsicles.

Abby getting into the pool.

Tonight we went to the Mall for dinner. We had Chick-fil-A, rode the Carousal and bought new lunchboxes from The Disney Store for school when it starts back.

VBS

The week we went out of town was VBS at church. Here are some pictures from that.
