Reach Group

I LOVE our Reach Group. Most of us are close in age, have kids the same age and we get along really well with each other. I also love our Sunday School class but I will post about that another time. So, last night our reach group had swim time at the Baker's (we meet every week on Sunday nights-right now we are reading through the Bible in a year and discussing it on Sunday nights. I am about 2+ weeks behind after starting off so well.) At one time there were 6 kids taking turns diving off the diving board, including mine! I don't have any pictures of them diving but maybe I will try to get some the next time we go over. My little daredevils love to jump off the diving board in to their daddy's arms or into anyone who will catch them. I have made a rule that the diving board is for daddy playtime only and daddy must be in the water for them to jump off the board. They are learning how to swim with their arm floats. Maybe next year they will get swim lessons.

Here is Allie coming up the stairs.

Abby eating grapes for dinner. I don't have pictures of Abby in the water, she was eating while I was taking pictures.

After we swam for a while we went upstairs to play the Wii. I want one of these now. It was so much fun. The first game we played was a Mario racing game, I did not do very well at it but the bowling game I was much better at. I beat the guys that I was playing against. We also played tennis and boxing. I was KO'ed by a 7 year old in boxing. Here is Allie helping me and Raymond.

The racing game. I did not learn how to stay on the course. But it was still FUN!

Abby watching us play. We had to keep telling the girls to back up and sit down from in front of the TV. I know know how my brother and husband felt when I would walk in front of the TV when they were playing football on the Playstation.

Thank you Rachel for taking some pictures with my camera while I was playing and to the Baker's for letting us come over and swim and play Wii.

This and That

Monday at Rachel's - Swimming with Mackenzie

Sleepy Allie

Here are the girls reading to the babies.

Anyone who knows Abby knows she loves balloons! Saturday she went with Raymond to the Nissan dealership to exchange a part for his car and asked for a balloon. Anytime we go by a cardealer that has balloons she gets so happy.

Potty Training

I am in the middle of potty training Abby. I guess I have finished with Allie, she can go by herself without help for the most part. I have no idea how I did it and I have no idea what I am doing with Abby. What worked with Allie did not work for Abby. They are two totally different people. I had to "run out" of diapers for Abby to wear panties. Know I have hide the ones they wear at night. For something that I dreaded so much I am glad we are almost through it. The freedom of not having to worry about carrying and changing diapers is going to be great.

For my Scrapbooking Friends

This post is for my friends that I scrapbooked with on Friday night. I had so much fun and laughed so hard I cried!!!

Quotes from the evening:

"You are not from around here are you?"
"Well, I was just going to educate her, if she wasn't from here."

"Let me think of something said so I can stop laughing."

The super cute card I made...I now know who I will send it to....

Daddy needs a.....

Super Daddy Band aid. That is what Abby said after seeing Raymond's scrapped up arm from falling off the latter while replacing some boards on our house.

These were taken after he washed them up.

Here he is working on the house Friday morning.

Zoo Day

Raymond was off on Thursday, so we went to the Zoo. This was the first time we have been back since Allie got her head stuck in the fence at the elephants. Anyway, we were incident free during this trip. The girls had a great time looking at the animals. Abby's favorite was the giraffes and elephants. Allie like the cats and butterflies. We visited the bird house and the reptiles for the first time during this trip.

This is one of my favorite pictures. They started holding hands while walking toward the bird house.

The new fence at the elephant's. Should we take credit for this........

I wanted to take a picture of Allie standing in front of the new fence, but she tripped right before we got to it and was in no mood to stand and have her picture taken.

Two of the polar bears were rough housing while the 3rd one was sleeping over in the corner. The girls really liked seeing the bears as well.

YEAH!! Boston Celtics

I am not a NBA fan. But Raymond's favorite NBA team is the Boston Celtics and last night they won the NBA Finals. He told me this morning that he was 2 minutes away from the greatest Basketball season, college & pro, ever for him. If you have to ask about this...please don't... if you know Raymond, you know what I am talking about... Anyway... When the game was over, I asked Raymond, were they not the worst team last year in the NBA, he looks at me, smiles and says "the second worst". I was like oh yeah the Griz's were the worst.... Sorry Griz fans.

I am playing in an all girls fantasy football league this fall. I am so excited, why should Raymond and the guys from Sunday School get to have all the fun. I did ask Raymond to help me get my team together and if it was too early for this. I am already thinking about which QB and RB and kicker I want. I may have a little competetion getting the kicker I want. Raymond said yes it is too early to start making a list. I seriously don't know where this competative edge came from. I was a littled surprised by it during our March Madness Bracket Challenge. It will be fun playing with the girls from church. I wonder if our teams will do better than the guys. You noticed they did not let us play with them..... I will keep you posted on team, players and standings when it starts.

Happy Father's Day

Tonight after we got back from the Baker's and the girls got their PJ's on, they sat in Raymond's lap to watch Tiger Woods play the last hole of the US Open. I told the girls they could not watch TV when we got home because they needed to go to bed since Abby had no nap today. This was the best shot I could get of the 3 of them. Happy Father's Day!

Silly Girl!

Swimming Fun

Hannah (our niece) came over to play and swim Saturday afternoon. All 3 girls had so much fun playing together. I think Hannah was a little upset when she had to leave. Here are some pictures of them in the water and playing afterwards.

I bought a long float for me to lay on in the pool and the girls discover that they can "flip" me off of it into the water. It is so cute to see them do this. They keep asking me if I am ready to go in the water. I have to admit I enjoyed them doing that. Allie has learned how to "dive". She holds her nose and under the water she goes. When she pops up she laughs and wants to do it again. Abby is our sea horse (that's what she wants to be called instead of a fish). She is "swimming" pretty good. I would love to get her in swim lessons next year.

Abby laying on my float. 3 going on 13!

Allie was a little freaked out about it at first.

Our New Toy

I have been after Raymond to get the girls an outdoor toy. He found a swing set on Craig's List that we are going to go at later this week and if it is as good as the lady says we will take it. Best part about the swing set is that it is FREE! The girls found the item below in the Toys R Us ad on Sunday. After 2 hours gong back and forth and Raymond searching the web for something.... We decided on the pool below. The box says ready for water in 5 minutes. Don't think so, more like an hour. It took a little while to blow up the ring on top and then we had to get it level and the filter hooked up. I hooked the filter up all by myself and I filled it water today. It took just about all day to fill it. The girls had fun playing in it this morning and again this afternoon. It must have wore them out because they took a 2 1/2 hour nap!!! It could hold more water but I don't think we will add any more. It seems to be a good level on them. I have to admit I like it to. It is big enough that I can sit in it and play with them.

Ready for play -

Stopping Traffic

Here is the latest creation I have made for the girls. Sundresses with ribbon ties. It was so easy to make. I did not even have to hem it!

Silly girl

Sunday when got to church and parked. We had to cross in front of traffic to get to the sidewalk. We were walking and a car was coming slowly waiting for us to cross and Allie stops, looks at the car, holds her hand out palm out, and says "Stop, Stop car Stop". She was so cute.

Pictures

Here are some pictures of Raymond's cake and the girls eating it.
Abby had a hard time keeping her fingers out of the icing.

As you can see Allie ate the icing and not much cake.

Yesterday I was in the computer room talking on the phone and in comes Abby asking for something. When I look up here is what I see. Her face is covered in purple grape smelling lip gloss from a Disney Princess necklace (I did not know she could open this). She kinda missed her lips. She did smell fruity for till bath time.

Abby sleeps in many different positions. Here is one of her favorites. It amazes me how she does not wake up from falling or rolling off the bed. I am glad we opted for toddler beds before moving to big girls beds.

how cute

Please go to sleep

Tonight after an hour of crying Abby finally decides to go to sleep. Part of her problem is that I took her sleeping bag away the other night for getting up over and over again. Well in her sleepy, crying voice I keep hearing her say "Come back sleeping bag, come back." Ok, it was breaking my heart not to go and give her back her sleeping bag. But if I did what message would I be sending, cry long enough and you will get what you want. I don't want to have to fix that later, so she cries. But it also funny because of what she is saying, like the sleeping bag can hear her and will come walking out of my bathroom linen closet and down the hall and into her room. I did tell her she could have it back tomorrow night if she is good. I don't think she feels to good right now any way, she has a yucky runny nose.

Allie is being Allie. She is calm and ever so friendly, to every one. It took Allie a while to go to sleep as well. Maybe it was Abby's crying.....

They did started back to MDO on Tuesday. Every Friday during the summer is water day at MDO and they love the water.

Happy Birthday Raymond

Today is Raymond's birthday. The girls and I just put a cake in the oven. When it is cooled we are going to ice it and decorate it. They wanted to make a cake like Max & Ruby but I would not let them. I don't think Raymond would appreciate a pink cake with pink icing. So we settled on a yellow cake with chocolate icing. Abby wants to add candles. I don't think I have 33 candles..... She also wants to play party games.... What games can we play??? I will post pictures if I get to take any later.

Not much else is new. The girls were out of school last week. They go back to MDO tomorrow for June and July and will be out in August. I am still working. I will probably be working till August if I had to guess. I don't have childcare in August. I miss my time at home by myself to get things done and time to run errans without 4 little hands trying to help me or causing a mess or trouble because I've stop to look at something. I feel quilty when I am at work for not being with the girls and quilty when I am home for not being at work.

No, Thank you seems to be Allie's new phrase. Anything you ask her she will reply with "no thank you". At least she is being polite about it.

Abby has started saying words and phrases that I say way to much. The other day in the car, she says to Allie "oh honey" (say it with a southern accent and you can see how cute it is). And this afternoon while Allie was whining she asked "What's wrong now?"

Be careful what you say, it will come back to haunt you.
