My Poor Abby

I am not quite sure what happened or how it happened, but Abby's left elbow became dislocated late Wednesday afternoon. Abby is not one who cries easily so when she cried for over 20 minutes and would not stop holding her left arm I knew something was wrong. She did really well at the minor med center letting them take her BP and temp, look at her arm and take x-rays to make sure it was not broke. It was not broken but dislocated, they had to rotate/pop her elbow back into place, which I still shutter to think about. I took Allie out of the room when they did this and left Raymond in the room with Abby. Raymond arrived at the minor med as we were finishing up the x-rays. I still am worried about her elbow especially since the doctor told us that it could pop back out again and she is still crying when she is awake.

She has held her left arm with her right hand since it happened.
Allie trying to comfort Abby. After Allie apologized Abby told her it was ok, it was an accident.

Abby asked to go bed at 7:15. I pray she feels better tomorrow and that the elbow does not pop back out again!

Peabody Ducks

Wednesday we took a field trip to the Peabody to see the Peabody Ducks. This is something I have never done before and I took the idea from my friend Jennifer. We meet up with Jamie/Kingston, and Ainsley/Ammie & Cal. Raymond even came over from work and watched the ducks come in. Here we are on the Skyway, we were going to go out on the roof but it was closed due to the rain.

The ducks come down the elevator at 11:00 each morning and stay in the lobby till 5 when they go up to their house on the roof. You can click here to read more about the Peabody Ducks.
After watching the ducks walk to the fountain we down the block to have lunch at Huey's. Here is Raymond keeping Abby warm.

The Kids Table

After lunch the crowd was gone and we were able to get up close to the fountain. All the kids enjoyed walking around the fountain trying to play with the ducks. Cal seem to have the most fun of all the kids, he was so cute.

Merry Christmas

It seems like every year the girls enjoy Christmas more than the year before. This year Santa left his gifts in a bag. Note to Santa: Please don't do that again. The girls did not like the fact that his gifts were not out so they could see them.

Santa brought everything the girls wanted and then some. The expressions on their faces when they opened their gifts were priceless!

Look at how much fun we had!

Christmas at Mom & Dad's

After we opened gifts at home we packed up and headed to Savannah. Here is what we saw going through Selmer.

Christmas Eve 2009

Christmas Eve at Meemaw's, the girls eating before everyone else arrives.

Rachel, Hannah, Abby & Allie

After Abby, Allie & Hannah passed out the presents the girls started opening them

Playing with Bendaroo's from Hannah (not a good gift on the parent's end, they are sticky but they don't stick to other bendaroo's very well, but Abby really likes them)

Meemaw gave Daniel these funny glasses, most everyone had a turn wearing them...

Abby was sleeping and ready to go home but we were still hanging out with the family so Abby made her a "bed" in the living room floor.

Christmas Photos

The past few years on Christmas Eve we have went down the street to Mr. Keith's house and taken pictures in his front yard. Here are the good ones from this year.

Dinner with Dennis & Leslie

Wednesday night we celebrated Christmas with Dennis and Leslie. We are very blessed to have such a great couple in our lives that watch our girls and love them as much as we do.

After dinner we opened presents. Here are the girls helping Leslie with her gift.

Dennis and Leslie got the girls these super cute aprons and some My Little Ponies.
