Christmas at Granny & Papaw's

After opening gifts at home and setting up the Wii and letting the girls play for a few minutes on it we packed up and heading to my parents house.  It snowed on us off and on the way there but none of it seem to stick.  It continued to snow all day and night and when we woke up Sunday morning there was a very light dusting of snow on the ground.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning....Santa brought a Wii for the girls and a Wii Fit for Raymond and I.

Time to open gifts!  Abby wanted to give Allie a gift this year so I took her the Disney Store and she picked out a Flynn Rider doll for Allie.  While I was there I was able to buy for Abby as well so she got a Flynn Rider as well.  Allie gave Abby a Barbie Loves Jessie Doll.

Cookies for Santa and Food for the Reindeer's

We left Santa a Sugar Cookie and Milk and Pascal the Elf a Chocolate Chip Muffin since he would be returning with Santa overnight.

But before we could leave to go to MeeMaw's on Christmas Eve we had to leave some oats for the reindeer to snack on while Santa was here leaving our gifts.

This year's reindeer food was Oats and red and green sprinkles.

The parade that did not happen

Saturday, December 11th was suppose to be the Annual Germantown Christmas Parade.  It started raining early that morning and rained off and on all day.  Normally we would not have went to the Germantown Parade or cared that it was cancelled.  But this year Allie's baton group was going to walk in the parade and they had been working for a few weeks to get their marching routine together.  And I had to buy a costume for the parade and Allie looked so cute in it!

Here are a few pictures I took when she tried the outfit on to make sure it fit.  She is not wearing her tights or shoes but still looks really cute!

Baton Class Party

For the last class of the year Allie's baton class had a party for the all the girls.  Each girl made a card for another girl in the class, they made an ornament and did a gift exchange.  Abby even got to make a card.  She made her card for Meemaw.

Pascal the Elf

Pascal the Elf has come to live with us till Christmas.  His job is to watch the girls and report to Santa if they have been naughty or nice.  I am sure they will be nice.

you can learn more about The Elf on the Shelf at http://www.elfontheshelf.com/#/home

The girls were so excite to find Pascal this morning sitting on the entertainment center waiting for them to wake up. Allie was excited in fact she woke up at 5:50 this morning.  I told her to go back to bed I would come get her up in 10 minutes!

Pictures with Santa

Saturday we went to Bass Pro Shops to visit Santa. You get a free 4x6 picture with Santa and the kids get to play games and make a craft.  The craft changes every week so in theory you could go in and see Santa every week and make a new craft.

Abby at first did not want to see Santa but I finally got her over to see him.

Allie was super happy to see Santa, so excited in fact she forgot to tell him what she wanted!  She did go back and tell him.

Thanksgiving to Pictures with Santa

I have no pictures from Thanksgiving.  I can hardly believe that fact myself.  Although I have no pictures we were very busy over Thanksgiving.  My parents came over Thursday morning and we all went to Meemaw's for lunch with Debbie & Chris and the kids.  I guess I should not call all their children kids, Daniel is in college now.  After lunch the girls played with Hannah till we left and came back home to get ready for Thanksgiving Round 2.  Keith came over for dinner.  My mom made lasagua and brought it over for us for dinner.  We even called Kevin (my other brother) just to let him know what we were having for dinner.  If you have ever eaten my mom's lasagua you would know why we make sure each other knows when we get to eat it and they don't.  It is all done is brotherly/sisterly love of course! But I am sure my mom will make some for Kevin soon enough.

After dinner we all hung out at our house for a while and even bought a few gifts online before we went to bed.

Friday morning my mom and I got up bright and early, well it was still dark outside and off shopping we went.  Being Black Friday was not all that bad for us.  I found a GREAT parking spot at Wolfchase, Kohl's and Target.  We did not have to wait very long at Penny's, the Disney Store or Target when we made it there.  I found some bargains and some gifts as well.  We are asking Santa for a Wii and I am pretty sure we will get that so I bought me and Raymond the Wii Fit for $67!  I also found some great summer out fits for the girls on clearance at Gymboree.  The only crazy place we went was Old Navy.  the line was worse than a queue at Disney so I turned around and left.  After our shopping morning my parents left to go home and the girls and I made a little trip to Hobby Lobby.

A few days ago I tried to take some pictures for the girls for our Christmas Cards.  It did not work every well so I chose other pictures for the card but here are a few from that afternoon.
