Our New Church Building

Sunday we went to our church's Open House for our new building. Our first Sunday service will be this coming Sunday, May 2nd. I can not tell you how excited I am about our new building. Last week Raymond went one night and helped unload chairs for the worship center and I went another night and helped work on bulletin boards for the girls classrooms. We are very blessed to have a such a wonderful building to use for God's glory.

Worship center, we also have a chapel with the stain glass windows from our old building. I did not get a picture of the chapel. I told the girls to go find what seats they wanted to have for Sunday.

The Great Hall where the children will have Children's Church. When you walk out the door on the far wall in the picture you will be right across from the girls 4 year old class room.

All the children's classes have a Kingdom theme. Right now the girls are in the Tower and will be moving to the Fortress on promotion Sunday.

Allie in the Youth Mission. Our youth group has a great space for bringing their friends to.

The playground for the little kids. We will be here a lot this summer.
If you are in Memphis and reading this please join us Sunday, May 2 for our first service. Sunday School at 9 and worship at 10.

CREATE

I read this craft blog called Imperfectly Beautiful. She has some interesting and unique projects posted and some times a post will jump out at me and I think, "I want to do that and I can do that." Well this post just did that, It is about these $49 letters from Ballard's Catalog (apparently some place I can not afford and I have never heard of them as well) anyway... she wanted these letters and could not afford them so she made her own version which you can see in the post. This is such a great idea of something to add to a craft space and since I just made myself a craft space out of part of the computer room, here is my version.

I used my Slice and the Under the Sea cartridge and cut each letter at 4 inches. I mounted the letters on 6x6 cream colored squares and then mounted those squares on 7x7 black card stock. I accented each letter square with Creative Memories Flowers and bling. I tacked them over the window and it is the first thing you see when you walk into the room.

I have a few more ideas/projects that I want to add to the room and as soon as I finish those I will post them for everyone to see.

Spring Program at School

Thursday was the girls spring program at school. Everyone can be surprised that I did not make the girls dress exactly alike. Both dresses do have tulips on them but they are different.

MOMC Spring Picnic

Saturday afternoon we got to attend the Mothers of Multiples Club Annual Spring Picnic. This year it was at Riverdale Park in Germantown. They had a balloon guy there making balloon animals and hats. The bbq was made my a members husband who competes in Memphis in May and was melt in your mouth delicious. Everyone had a great time.

Allie and her poodle

A little after 12 the sirens went off for what seemed like 5 minutes. Allie wanted to leave and Abby just stood there with her hands in her ears. When it stopped everyone was fine.

First Spring Soccer Game

At Thursday night's practice we got our uniforms for the season. When I told Abby that we were going to be getting our uniforms she told me and Raymond that she hoped she did not get number 3 again. When we asked her why she did not want to be #3 again, she replied, I been that number two times in a row, I want a new one. Raymond tried to explain to her that basketball and football players keep the same number all the time and they consider it lucky to have the same number every year. I don't think she bought it. When I opened up the bag that had her uniform in it I was happy to see that we had navy blue uniforms, but Abby was not so happy with her number.....Yes, she is once again number 3. She looked at it and said, Oh, number 3 again.

Saturday was Abby's first soccer game of the Spring. She was so excited that she scored a goal.

Water Break

Good Game

And what was Allie doing during the game? Making new friends and playing with whatever she could to play with.

A New Craft Space

I now have a new craft space! We sold the day bed that was in the computer room when we bought new beds for the girls room and that space has been empty for a while. At the sale I bought this great piece of furniture for storing most of my craft items. It took a few days to move all my sewing and scrapbooking items from mine & Raymond's room to the new space. I am still tweaking where I have everything placed but so far I am enjoying my new craft space.

Since Kitty's bed was sold, she has found a new space to sleep (and hid from Allie) while in the computer room.

Now that I have a new space, I have finished a skirt for the girls I started back after Christmas :)
